I went to a garage sale today (first one of the season) and found the most AMAZING thing ever – and original Smurf sheet bedding set – 3 sheets and 2 pillowcases in AWESOME shape!! This works out well for me considering the house payment is coming up. I also got Ninja Turtles, Batman, and The Super Friends (all the superheros)… Keep an eye out! Check my auction out here!

PS – my hours at work got cut dramatically – so I shall be WordPressing more often.

So what do “Rock of Love”, “I Love New York”, “A Shot at Love”, and “Flavor of Love” have in common?

Aside from the fact that they are the pride and joy of VH1’s line ups – they are all scripted and fake. Much like every other reality tv show out there.

The other day at the gym,  two girls tried to convince me that “Laguna Beach” was real. Come on people get a little bit of common sense here. Do you really think Bret Michaels is going to find love on tv? No – that show should just be called T&A. Seriously – tv has turned to trash, that show is like softcore porn.

I know what you are thinking – if you don’t like it, turn it off; but I can’t. This fakeness is everywhere. It just sucks that our society has gone so far downhill that people actually watch these programs religiously thinking that they aren’t scripted.

Even “The Real World” is fake. It is more of an improv BUT there is a basic outline of what the producers and audience wants to see. Someone has too hookup, there has to be catty fighting, there has to be cheating, wild nights at the bar, etc. “This is the true story… of seven strangers… picked to live in a house…work together and have their lives taped… to find out what happens… when people stop being polite… and start getting real…The Real World.”

Bull.
